In this webinar, we review the different surgical approaches for management of rectal masses/neoplasia and review the management of rectal prolapse.  The second part covers the aetiology, diagnosis of and surgical management of perineal hernia including different techniques for autogenous muscle flaps such as the internal obturator, superficial gluteal and semi-tendinosis flaps.

Rachel graduated from the RVC in 2003 and spent six years in general practice before completing an ECVS residency at the University of Liverpool.  Rachel became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2012 and has been working in private referral practice since 2012.    Rachel is a consultant in soft tissue surgery and Head of Theatre at DWR Veterinary Specialists where she has worked since 2018.  Rachel is interested in all areas of soft tissue surgery with a particular love of surgical oncology, minimally invasive techniques, maxillofacial surgery, and feline nephrolithiasis.
