Caring for wildlife casualties in veterinary practice

Exotics | Behaviour & Welfare | 59 mins

Would you like to increase your knowledge of caring for wildlife when they present as a casualty at your veterinary practice? Want to learn how to triage wildlife and understand the differences compared to domestic patients?  During our veterinary training, we learn about emergency and critical care of our domestic species. While similar principles apply, there are some significant differences to consider when dealing with wildlife. We are often unfamiliar with the ecology and behaviour of wildlife, but we can improve our knowledge by working with wildlife rehabilitators to provide the best outcome for the patient.

In this webinar, we will cover the considerations you need to make when caring for wildlife, including record keeping, basic first aid and emergency treatment.
