Hi Scott,
Thank you very much for your reply. About my last question, is a machine from idexx and it is just does the sediment instead of us, so lets say when we are looking at the sediment, i was told that less than 5 wbc and rbc per power field is not significant, is that correct? Or do you culture the urine anyway even if less than 5

Thank you Scott, much appreciated.Just remind me, how elevated the bile acids need to be to have an indication for PSS? And then confirm with u/s or ammonia blood test would be enough? Cost is an issue in this case unfortunaly, would you ever do a trial with medication for PSS without confirm the diagnosis?
I forgot to mention as well that the dog was bright and happy in consult.would you expect a dog with PSS to be more ill?
Thank you ,that make sense.

Hi Scott,
Thank you for your answer. So to confirm steroid hepatopathy you would rely on clinical signs together with elevation of Alt +/- low urea, glucose, albumins etc? Would you run BAST?Thank you,

Hi Scott, very interesting. I just wanted to ask you, if i join the club then i will have to pay £350 (if i redeem the liver course) and this will include one more course for free for example the anaemia course? And also, it says about 3 credits on clinical cases, does this mean i can discuss with you 3 clinical cases through the year?
Thank you Scott!
Hi Scott, should we then use ondasetron in cases of acute hepatitis and nautea or use ondasetron in general?
Hi Scott, thank you so much for your answer, all very clear now. Just a final question, when we treat with antibiotics for possibility of infectious causes in acute cases, is it mainly to cover for Leptospirosis or could be other bacteria involved as well? And if the above supportive treatment fails, would be reasonable to then use immunosuppressive tx even without biopsies? How long would you wait until you would say there is no improvement?or how quickly do you expect to see improvement? Thank you,
Areti
That is very helpfull, thank you a lot!
Hi Scott,
Thank you very much for the interesting information above. So would you consider using it prior to biopsy? Like the day before for example and then carry on after the biopsy as well? What about vitamin K? Could it be used for prophylaxis as well?and when would you give it?
Hi Scott, thank you for the answer, all more clear in my head now 🙂
