Understanding and treating haematological cancers in dogs and cats
This veterinary thought exchange online tutored course is aimed at veterinarians in practice that want to increase their confidence in diagnosing and treating haematological cancers in their small animal patients.
Think you know about haematological cancers in dogs and cats? Well think again! This course is designed to give an in depth look at lymphomas, leukaemia and plasma cell disorders seen in veterinary medicine. It will be clinically applicable, using real world case examples to highlight diagnostic and treatment strategies for the more commonly encountered haematological cancers.
This course will give you the tools to understand molecular diagnostic techniques, when staging is important and the variety of treatment options that are available. New treatment strategies for lymphoma are discovered all the time, and the course will look at some of the evidence behind these treatments.
The course is run by Aaron Harper (EBVS and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Oncology). It runs over a seven-week period and takes around 9 hours to complete. The course is delivered via video webinars and supplemented with a real-time discussion forum, giving you the opportunity to ask questions or discuss cases you may be facing in your practice.
This course is aimed at the practitioner who already has some experience of treating haematological malignancies and wants to know more.
(Access to this course is for 12 months from the start of the course going live on our website. The discussion forum will be monitored for the course duration only).
