Breaking the Cycle: Practical Strategies for Managing Chronic Otitis in Dogs

Dermatology | Primary Care | 60 mins

Chronic or recurrent otitis can be one of the most frustrating conditions to manage in veterinary practice—for both clinicians and clients. When ear disease just won’t resolve, it’s time to move beyond simply switching to a “stronger” treatment.

In this insightful and practical webinar, we’ll guide you through a structured approach to unpicking the complexities of canine otitis. You’ll review the key primary, secondary, predisposing, and perpetuating factors that underlie chronic ear disease and learn how to identify and address each component effectively.

We’ll also explore the vital role of otic cytology—not just as a diagnostic tool, but as a cornerstone for monitoring progress and guiding therapy. You’ll come away with a solid understanding of how to interpret cytology results and apply them to real-world cases.

Finally, the session will equip you with targeted treatment strategies for managing chronic otitis, improving outcomes, and preventing recurrence.

Ideal for general practitioners and those looking to sharpen their dermatology skills, this webinar will give you the confidence and clarity to take control of even the most stubborn ear cases.
