Physiotherapy considerations for the neurological patient

Physiotherapy | Neurology | 42 mins

Time to consider the needs of your neurological small patients. With neurological compromise comes significant alteration to biomechanics, proprioception, and the needs of effective rehabilitation. The range of neurological presentations requires specific physiotherapeutic input to optimise function and recovery. This webinar will consider strategies for proactive management of neurological cases with some easy classifications to target rehab appropriately. We will review the rehab environment and the importance of recumbency support, pathology in relation to altered biomechanics and effective support options to optimise independence, comfort, and engagement with rehabilitation. We will consider the range of neurological presentations and the effective use (and mis-use) of basic physiotherapy techniques to support rehabilitation.
