Proactive patient safety
Patient safety is defined by the World Health Organisation as the absence of preventable harm to a patient during the process of healthcare and reduction of risk of unnecessary harm.
Whilst all veterinary professionals strive to maintain patient safety, to err is human and therefore we need to put systems and processes in place to prevent error occurring wherever possible. In the busy world we work and live in it can sometimes be difficult to know where to begin and challenging to find the time to implement strategies.
In this webinar we will discover what patient safety is and explore the tools proven to enhance patient care. Starting at the beginning of the day we will guide you through a typical patient journey considering patient safety tools such as briefing, checklists, communication tools, handovers and more. We will conclude with tips on how to implement these tools successfully to optimize the wellbeing of our teams and patients.
