Oscar Bautista Diaz-Delgado

Oscar graduated from the University of Extremadura in Spain in 2013. He then completed a one-year rotating internship at the same institution. Following this, he worked as an anaesthesia clinician at the University Alfonso X el Sabio in Madrid for two and a half years. In March 2017, Oscar joined the Small Animal Teaching Hospital in Liverpool as an intern specializing in small animal anaesthesia. He subsequently undertook a standard European residency program in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia at the same institution, earning his diploma as a European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2021.

Currently, Oscar provides expert anaesthesia care to various hospitals in the UK, with Manchester Veterinary Specialists serving as his primary workplace. His key areas of interest include anaesthesia for critical patients, loco-regional anaesthesia, and pain management. He is particularly passionate about advancing postgraduate anaesthesia education, supporting new graduates and nurses, and improving clinical outcomes in anaesthesia while optimizing team workflows.
