Lindsey Ashburner

Lindsey is an Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Nurse at the Edinburgh University Hospital for Small Animals.

She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2012 and started her career at a mixed practice. It was here that she found her passion for ECC nursing and achieved the VetsNow certificate in emergency and critical care. In 2015 she started working at the Edinburgh University as a dedicated ECC nurse in the busy ICU department. 

In 2017 Lindsey was awarded a scholarship from Edinburgh University which enabled her to complete the Vet Tech Specialist(ECC) qualification which she obtained in 2019. Included in the scholarship was the opportunity to undertake several externships to gain experience of other ERs/ICUs in both the USA and UK.

In Lindsey’s spare time she enjoys running and hill walking with her husband and very energetic German Wirehaired Pointer cross Duma.
