I read somewhere this is not a reliable indicator in cats?
Its definately used in horses but where i worked we rarely did this and I do not think we had a lactate monitor. It was years ago so now Im just showing how ancient i am. Now I think they regularly do it in horse practice. We used to measure protein levels in a belly tap sample…so a Total solids on the fluids. Is this any use in small animals?
