Janette Bailey-Woods

Janette achieved her qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2001 and subsequently spent 15 years in mixed animal practice in Cumbria. Since 2013, she has held positions at referral hospitals, including serving as Lead Anaesthesia Nurse at Wear Referrals. During her career, Janette has earned a Certificate in Emergency & Critical Care and attained the Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) Anaesthesia and Analgesia.

Currently, Janette is the Lead Anaesthesia Nurse at Bridge Referrals, where she leads the anaesthesia nursing team, supports professional development among nurses, and promotes increased confidence and expertise in anaesthesia throughout the nursing community.

Janette maintains a particular interest in advancing her skills with ultrasound-guided regional nerve blocks and is dedicated to minimising fear, anxiety, and stress while enhancing the hospital experience for veterinary patients.
